McKinley Institute of Technology and Kennedy Middle School (6th-8th)
At MIT, all kids focus one hour a day, every day, on literacy, and this is where we come in. In collaboration with the classroom teachers, we use stories, news articles, online sources, and texts to provide exposure to a broad range of literary styles and knowledge. The students receive extra, personalized reading help during this period which teachers find invaluable.
